Tonight we built the sucker punch. This obstacle requires contestants to run across a narrow path against a wall. The wall has punching bags which randomly strike them and try to knock them off the path into a foamy or slimy pool.

Here's a quick video of the wall with one puncher installed and working.

I just found an even better deal at Barnes & Noble (online only). Their listed price is $251.95 but if you use coupon V7T4Y4X at checkout, it takes 30% off the price of one item giving you final price of $195.96 with free shipping.

The coupon is good through late June.

Took it back to the dealer last Friday. Before I returned it to them, I played with the A/C controls a bit and discovered that the entire time I've been driving this vehicle, the controls were set to manual. So, their response that automatic disabling of recirculate and the seat heating and cooling was completely irrelevant (even if it were true).

I explained this in great detail to the chief mechanic at the dealership and demonstrated for him how the controls actually worked. After about three iterations, he was finally able to adequately repeat back to me the problem I was describing.

At the end of the day, I picked up my car and was told that the controls were working "as designed." The service manager says that Mercury acknowledged they did a poor job in the programming on that control and made it work better in the 2005 model. I left my name and number with the dealership's GM.

To be continued...

Tomorrow is the big day. I already tested the floppy to confirm it is bootable. The customer is getting antsy but they're eager to have things back to normal.
